I have been tagged by Dr.Bob.
After some research it turned out that "Blog-Tag" is the new, hot game in the blogosphere, which started exactly a month ago. When you get tagged, you are supposed to tell five things about yourself that people can’t learn directly from your blog, and to tag five other blog authors to do the same.
- Few days ago I have become CodeGear’s Technical Evangelist for Benelux/Italy/Spain.
- Before joining Borland/CodeGear amd moving to the Netherlands six years ago I’ve been wearing a 3-piece suit every day to work at ING Bank Slaski financial controlling department, where I have developed a very succesful Delphi system called "BSK Rocket" for extracting data from SAS System data warehouse and generating every week hundreds of Excel spreadsheets full of numbers. And I was responsible for these figures to make sense… (Thanks Charlie for the article about OLE Automation with Delphi)
- Extended my study by one year to have my master thesis graphical Borland Pascal for Windows application rewritten in Delphi 1. Do you remember that to use scroll-bars in OWL you needed to intercept Windows messages, and installing a component in Delphi 1 required recompiling the whole VCL library?
- Except for jogging, swimmming, skiing, playing football (if you are US citizen: "soccer"), and reading some sci-fi books like Orson Scott card’s "Ender’s Game" I’m a big fan of music. Probably the best band ever for me is Metallica, and California is probably the best place for technical excellence, and thrash metal music. The two bands I enjoyed recently the most are Strata and Chevelle. The best album of 2006 for me is Red Hot Chili Pepper’s "Arcadium".
- My biggest joy is my family consisting of my beloved wife Barbara, that loves movies, and knows much more about humanity, art and history then me, and my 10 years old son Mateusz that is far better than me in being polish patriot, chess, judo, karate and playing guitar.
So is my turn. Surprise! Fredrik Haglund, Roy Nelson, Tim Jarvis, Charlie Calvert, and Jason Vokes. You are "it"!

Interesting choice. For me it was The Black Parade by My Chemical Romance (a pretty mean feat, considering there were new releases by Tool, Muse & Iron Maiden as well)
The round-ball game is also known as soccer here in Oz.
Hi Pawel.

The best album in 2006?
Answer is simple - Iron Maiden "The Matter of Life and Death" (zajebista plytka
Thanks for the flashback to Delphi 1! I only used it for a few months and didn’t install many components during that time. I had forgotten that tidbit about recompiling everything.
I recently booted up Delphi 2 on one computer at home. My oh my, but how fast it loaded.
