Commenting on This Blog
28 Jul
I am aware that commenting on this blog is not working for some of you using Internet Explorer. The reason I know this is because I can’t use IE to add comments to this blog.
I’ve notified the powers that be about it, and hopefully something will happen. I seem to remember something like this happening when I used .Text on my old blog.
Hopefully we’ll be able to update this blog server software sometime soon.

I’ve got a convo going with Ericlaw at microsoft (you can guess the email address from that,ya?). Why don’t you fire him a note, because he IS the power to be over this. Some independant backup is always nice -grin-

July 28th, 2006 at 4:40 pmPosting without the technorati script works.
July 28th, 2006 at 4:43 pmThe reason this page doesn’t work is that you’ve got a FORM(from Technorati) nested inside of a FORM tag (the ASPNET Postback).
If you move the ASPNET Postback form tag to just before the form (so that it doesn’t contain the Technorati form) it starts working. I’ve used Fiddler (www.fiddlertool.com) to rewrite this page on the fly as described, and as you can see, it now works.

July 28th, 2006 at 11:54 pmI took out the technorati stuff, so hopefully this will work.
For Eric Law — Thanks for tracking it down for me. I do note that commenting works fine on Firefox. Oh well.
