Codegear web sites - new look

Today you will see new look and feel for the CodeGear web sites.   Both the www.codegear.com and dn.codegear.com have new, cleaner look and feel.

You’ll also find new content on the CodeGear site including drill down capabilities into the feature matricies for each product.  For example, go to the Delphi for PHP product page and click on the "features" link.  You get to a page of features, each links to text about the feature with a screen shot (eventually there will be links to short video demos as well). Other product pages will get these capabilities as well.

We’ve also added a new feature, the solutions pages, that provide information about building solutions using CodeGear products.  Current solutions include Database development, Software Archeology, Modernizing System i Applications, and building Web 2.0 Applications.

I hope you like the work that the CodeGear Marketing/IS and the Community team have been working on for many months.  You can leave your comments on this blog post and I will forward them along to the team.

Love the new look. I am very excited to see the great changes happening with Code Gear and in particular (for me) Delphi. Keep up the great work!

Beautiful and well organized! I work mostly with Delphi (Win32) but had a quick look at 3rd Rail and very much liked the valuable Ruby resources, e.g. the blog links. Kudos to your new site!

In the UK, it appears that one of the main menu bars is in Spanish? Just a heads up.

Steve - that should be fixed now. I just checked and my Spanish text has become the right text for my language choice.

    Hi David:
    The site looks nices. Congratulatulations!
Just one observation: there is a typo in the spanish version ‘Inovación’ -> ‘Innovación’.
    Best regards!

I find myself highly conflicted. The website is no longer so ugly it makes my eyes bleed, but now it is just so….. what is the word…. ’so borland’.

You can let the Marketing guys come out of the closet and give them two loaves a breat and 16 oz of water. Definately earned their keep.Nice job with the look and feel.

Nice job on the site. You may now let the marketing guys out of the closet and give them some water and bread. ;-)

The site looks great! As the blogsite seems to have a lot of content (screenshots, code) in certain articles, it will be nice to have a "Content Folding" feature so that one can see just the headlines of all the blog topics or view them in a maximized format.

I like the clean style except, unfortunately, the text is much wider than my matrix size will allow. On my development machine I keep my matrix size set to the smallest my users have (1024×768). At that resolution I can’t see a full line of a blog entry–even if I maximize the browser window and scroll the left-hand menu off the screen. It looks great on a wide-screen monitor, but not on a 4:3 monitor at 1024×768.
