SourceForge.net open source 2008 Community Choice Awards
The open source technology we all use every day is the result of a the blood, sweat, and tears of a few passionate individuals. The SourceForge.net Community Choice Awards are your opportunity to say thanks, and tell the world which open source projects you find most useful, fun, or interesting. CCA08 is the third year for the awards. Nominations open at the end of April. Nominations close the middle of June. Finalists will be announced towards the end of June. Voting will begin at the end of June and continue leading up to the OSCON 2008 conference. Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on July 24th at OSCON.
Awards will be given in many open source categories. The list of categories is available online at SourceForge. CodeGear is sponsoring one of the categories: "Most Likely to Change the World" - the winner of this award is a project that can change society for the better.
