CodeGear was in San Francisco last week for the JavaOne 2007 conference. CodeGear had a booth in the pavilion and we demonstrated the latest release of JBuilder 2007. Jim Douglas, Michael Swindell, and myself also took time to meet with many of the press that were in attendence at the show. On Wednesday we caught up with Darryl Taft of eWeek.
Yesterday, Darryl wrote an eWeek article about our meeting and his interview with Jim Douglas.
Last year, Darryl sent me a picture of himself wearing a Borland hat. Darryl arrived at our JavaOne 2007 meeting wearing a Microsoft Silverlight hat. Remembering Darryl’s hat delight, Laura Stiff (CodeGear PR) brought a special surprise gift for the meeting. At the end of the interview Laura gave Darryl the first CodeGear hat. While there will be more CodeGear hats and SWAG to come, there will only be one “first hat“.

Darryl, thanks for spending the time with us and for keeping it honest and real.
ps: Darryl also wrote a two part interview with James Gosling this week: Part One and Part Two
