James Gosling seeks to extinguish scripting languages comment "flamewar"

I guess we all have to watch out what we say about things that people care about. A few weeks ago, James Gosling, the father of the Java programming language, was quoted from an Sys-Con TV interview saying, "Java Is Under No Serious Threat From PHP, Ruby or C#". His comments immediately sparked an Internet flamewar. This week, Sys-Con TV has a follow up piece where Gosling "Seeks to Extinguish" the Scripting Flamewar. I love it. Maybe I’ll get flamed for blogging about the whole affair?

    I took glance at the first url in your list "The programming language list"… of course I looked up Delphi… seems the list is many years out-of-date.

    There are so many different programming language lists on the Internet. These are just a few. Delphi is listed on many other lists. Thanks.
