I am at the German Developer Conference (EKON 9) in Frankfurt Germany. I could write a blog entry telling everyone about the “preview” I gave of DeXter. But, attendees have beat me to the start (soon after the keynote was over). Daniel and Marco have both posted blog entries, with pictures for the DeXter preview and the Borland roadmap for Delphi, C++ and C#.
Dr. Bob has covered both the opening keynote and Jason Vokes’ Borland product address on his blog. It’s great to have our community members help get the information into the blogosphere.
These presentations are just early previews of what R&D is working on. If you want to learn more about DeXter, from the team that is building it, the only place to get complete information and technical training is at the 2005 Borland Developer Conference in San Francisco, November 8-10.

Thank you for the Delphi Road Map. This is indeed a very positive sign from Borland Management as to the future of our beloved product. This announcement itself makes us all feel better now. We can even excuse all the other mumbo jumbo CTX details!

GREAT!!!!!! Delphi rock’s
D2006 or Other version that will support C#3.0?
We support the C# language (and vb.net) that gets delivered to us by Microsoft as part of the .NET SDK we’ve licensed. We’re shipping the .NET 1.1 SDK with Borland Developer Studio 2006 (which has Delphi Win32, C++ Win32, Delphi .NET, and C# .NET languages in it). We will get later versions of C# language as we deliver .NET 2.0 and beyond in future versions of BDS.
