Some of the top high tech CEO(s) - Steve Ballmer (Microsoft), Bruce Chizen (Adobe), John Thompson (Symantec), Art Coviello (RSA Security), George Samenuk (McAfee Security), - told congress to invest more in education, especially in math and science. I think everyone would agree (I certainly would). Several articles tell the news about their remarks:

So how do we and who should pay for it? That is the multi-billion question. I’m reminded of a bumper sticker I once saw in Santa Cruz. It said something like “It will be a great day when the schools have all the money they need and the Defense Department has to hold a bake sale to buy a bomber.”

While I was searching for additional articles I happened on a web document that lists 170 (!!!) ideas and resources that teachers can use to integrate technology into schools. We still have to figure out how to fund some of the ideas, but at least there’s a large enough list. http://www.ael.org/rtec/ideas.htm

Thanks for this link. I think that education is one of the best things that we can use technology for.
