For the love of God man, please put the tools palette back oacross the top of the screen in c++builder. I have nothing but problems and delays using the palette the way it is now. I have 28 inch screen and you left 20 inches starting from the right side totally blank. The tool palette was what made BCB special and now its gone.

What you describe is rather tactical than strategic from a business point of view, I think you will acknowledge. In essence it is about maintaining existing business, not about growth. And that assumption is true only from a tactical point of view but hardly ever from a strategic point of view.
For example, Delphi itself has grown from inside out, not from outside in. So there are quite a few things that are beyond that tip of the iceberg, I guess this part is above the surface, whereas yours is level ground :-) Innovation is seldom perceived as or actually being consumer driven nowadays.

In short, be aware of that difference! You may not be the first one who gets wrong footed by this.

Says a social scientist with a post grad in business administration :)
